About BonAgro Company Limited

Fan Wenbo, the current Managing Director formed BonAgro Company Limited on 12th July, 2013 when he saw a gap in the agro market for quality services in the distribution of agrochemicals, agro-machinery, equipment and tools. Due to this, the company was established in Tema Community 25 in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana with operations in the sale of agricultural machinery.

A year thereafter, six (6) agricultural products were registered. Therefore, in September 2014 the company imported its first batch of products from China. Moreover, to maximize sales and revenue, the Headquarters was relocated to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana since it is recognized as the seat of the agrochemical industry.

BonAgro is an agro-chemical company with divers products and services. Therefore, we have solutions for every agricultural need across Ghana and other African Countries. Currently, the company has twenty-one (21) registered products in Ghana and Ivory Coast.  Also, the company deals with over two hundred (200) major distributors and over four hundred (400) Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) within Ghana and its neighbouring countries. In addition, the company has a workforce of twenty-one (21) working assiduously towards the realization of company’s goals and vision.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements effective sales and marketing strategies which aligns with the overall business goals and objectives.
  • Leads and directs all aspects of sales and marketing operations.
  • Identifies and pursues opportunities for sales and marketing growth and expansion.
  • Manages resources effectively and ensures sales targets for each season are achieved.
  • Monitors and analyses performance metrics and suggests improvement.
  • Builds and maintains productive and professional relationships with key customers.
  • Builds and maintains a high-performing sales and marketing team and promotes a culture of excellence.
  • Prepares regularly scheduled reports and sales forecasts.
  • Any other related duties as may be assigned.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Minimum of five(5) years progressive experience in the same or similar role preferably in an international agro-chemical company.
  • Experience in managing a high-performance team.
  • Strategic thinker with the capability to translate sales and marketing goals into initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A minimum of a Postgraduate Degree preferably in Business Administration or any related discipline.
